In the Altus Fieldhouse ((pictured above), the Boomer boys had one of their toughest test so far this year.  They got off to a slow start, trailing the Bulldogs 7-0 and 9-2.  They slowly worked their way back into the game and lead at the half by a score of 28-23.  In the second half, they pulled away and got a big road win over a tough Altus team 64-48 on Saturday.

The Boomer Girls again played a good 1st half against the Lady Bulldogs, trailing 16-12 at the midway point.  The girls legs were in question in the second half and Altus was to tough at home for the Boomer Girls, pulling away in the second half and winning 49-31.

THE BOOMER BOYS CAME AWAY WITH 5TH PLACE IN THE NEWCASTLE TOURNAMENT THIS PAST WEEKEND.  THEY LOST IN THE FIRST ROUND IN DOUBLE OT TO WASHINGTON 64-61, BUT WON THEIR NEXT TWO, INCLUDING WINS OVER NOBLE AND ELK CITY.  THE GIRLS DROPPED THEIR FIRST ROUND GAME WITH WASHINGTON, WON THEIR SECOND OVER NOBLE ON DAY TWO, AND CAME UP SHORT AGAINST JONES IN ROUND THREE ON SATURDAY.
